Three Arrested after Traffic Stop Yields Drugs

Three people were arrested in a Highland County traffic stop, Monday. Hillsboro Police say they stopped Stephanie Newman,  46, of Kentucky, on West Beech Street and found suspected drugs, prescription medication, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and cash in the car. 

Newman was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, weapons under disability, carrying a concealed weapon, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and improper lane change. 

Passenger Joshua Frederick, 32, of West Chester, was arrested for drug abuse paraphernalia and possession drug abuse instruments, while another passenger, Tiffany McKenzie, 36, of Hillsboro, was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments. 

All were taken to the Highland County Jail.
